Etchū-Yatsuo Station is a station on the Takayama Main Line, and is located 208.7km (129.7miles) from the end of the line at and 19.5km (12.1miles) from the dividing point on the line between JR West and JR Central at .
The station has one ground-level island platform and one ground-level side platform serving three tracks, connected by a footbridge. The station has a Midori no Madoguchi staffed ticket office.
