Esko Salminen (born 12 October 1940) is a Finnish actor with careers on television, the stage and on the silver screen.

Personal life

Born in Helsinki, Salminen's parents were actor and actress . He is of partial Russian descent through his biological father, actor and singer Tauno Palo, whose maternal grandfather was a Russian soldier.^{[1] [2]} Actors, and are his half-brothers.^[3]

Salminen has been married to actress, dancer and, since 1989, to actress . He has two children with actress, one of whom is actor . Actresses and are also Salminen's children.^[4]
