Escalles (pronounced as /fr/) is a commune in the Pas-de-Calais department in the Hauts-de-France region of France.^[2]

Geography

A small village located 13km (08miles) west of Calais, at the junction of the D243 and D940 roads and at the foot of Mont d'Hubert (151m (495feet)).

Places of interest

• The Dover Patrol Monument is at the summit of Cap Blanc-Nez, dedicated to the British and French sailors of World War I.
• The church of St. Maxime, dating from the sixteenth century.
• The Musée Transmanche.
