Ernesto Schifelbein Fuenzalida (19 August 1934 – 26 January 2024) was a Chilean politician who served as minister.[1] Similarly, in 2007, he was awarded the National Education Prize.[2]

In 2011, he assumed as head of the Autonomous University of Chile.[3] [4]

Schifelbein died in Santiago on 26 January 2024, at the age of 89.[5]
