Erlun Township[1] is a rural township in Yunlin County, Taiwan. It has a population total of 25,183 ([2]) and an area of 59.5625 square kilometres.[2]
The name Erlun came from the fact that the area consists of two connected hills.[3] [4]
Early residents of Erlun came from Jinjiang and Zhao'an in Fujian, China.
The township comprises 18 villages: Dahua (Chinese: 大華), Datong (Chinese: 大同), Dayi (Chinese: 大義), Dazhuang (Chinese: 大庄), Dingan (Chinese: 定安), Fuxing (Chinese: 復興), Ganghou (Chinese: 港後), Laihui (Chinese: 來惠), Lundong (Chinese: 崙東), Lunxi (Chinese: 崙西), Nanzi (Chinese: 湳仔), Sanhe (Chinese: 三和), Tianwei (Chinese: 田尾), Yangxian (Chinese: 楊賢), Yizhuang (Chinese: 義庄), Yongding (Chinese: 永定), Youche (Chinese: 油車) and Zhuangxi (Chinese: 庄西).
