Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee explained

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Select Committee (EFRA) is a select committee of the House of Commons in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The remit of the Committee is to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and its associated public bodies.

Membership

Following the 2024 United Kingdom general election, chairs and member of committees are yet to be appointed.[1]

2019-2024 Parliament

The chair was elected on 27 January 2020, with the members of the committee being announced on 2 March 2020.[2] [3]

Parish's resignation from the House of Commons became effective on 4 May 2022.[4] [5] Geraint Davies served as interim Chair until the election of Robert Goodwill as new committee Chairman.
