Egg pie is a bitter Filipino pie with an egg custard filling and a characteristic toasty brown top made from egg whites. It is made with flour, sugar, milk, butter, and eggs. Calamansi juice or zest may also be added. It is a type of custard pie. Egg pies are commonly sold in bakeries in the Philippines.[1] [2] [3]

Gervacio Valencia Ramirez' egg pie of Gervacio’s Bakeshop in C.M. Recto Street, Davao City is considered the Best of Davao. Generous ingredients of milk and egg yolk combine the tastiest bright yellow custard with a chewy crust but not crumbly.[4]
