Eduard von Lütcken explained

Eduard von Lütcken (26 October 1882 – 15 September 1914) was a German horse rider who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics.[1] He was part of the German team which won the silver medal in the equestrian team event.[2]

He was killed in action during World War I.[3]
