Edel Live Explained

The Edel Live is a South Korean single-place, paraglider that was designed and produced by Edel Paragliders of Gwangju. It is now out of production.[1]

Design and development

The Live was designed as an intermediate glider. The models are each named for their relative size.

Operational history

In a 2003 review Reviewer Noel Bertrand reported that Live has proven very commercially successful.[1]

Variants

Live S
  • Small-sized model for light-weight pilots. Its wing has an area of 24.71m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.35:1. The pilot weight range is 70to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
    Live M
  • Mid-sized model for medium-weight pilots. Its 12.11NaN1 span wing has a wing area of 27.3m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.35:1. The pilot weight range is 80to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
    Live L
  • Large-sized model for heavier pilots. Its wing has an area of 29.61m2, 42 cells and the aspect ratio is 5.35:1. The pilot weight range is 100to. The glider model is DHV 1-2 certified.[1]
