Murchisonellidae Explained

Murchisonellidae is a taxonomic family of sea snails, marine opisthobranch gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Murchisonelloidea.[1]

Taxonomy

1999 taxonomy

Under the system according to Christoffer Schander, Van Aartsen & Corgan (1999),[2] there were five genera in the Ebalidae:

2005 taxonomy

This family has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005).

This has been changed in 2013 into two subfamilies.[3]
