East Asturian is a dialect of the Asturian language, known for having more Castilian influence than other varieties.[1]
Phonology

- Eastern Asturian shows contrast between mid and high vowels in final position.[3] The dialect lacks vowel harmony in that position.[4]
- In some varieties, pronounced as //ɛ// and pronounced as //ɔ// show diphthongisation to pronounced as //ie// and pronounced as //ue// respectably.[5]
Consonants
- Initial -f in standard Asturian makes an aspirated pronounced as /[h]/, pronounced as /[x]/, or pronounced as /[χ]/ sound, which is represented by (ḥ).[6]
