Dysoxylum flavescens is a tree in the family Meliaceae.[1] [2] The specific epithet Latin: [[:wikt:flavescens|flavescens]] is from the Latin meaning 'yellowish', referring to the petals.
The tree grows up to 33m (108feet) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 70cm (30inches). The bark is brown. The flowers are creamy-yellow. The fruits are reddish orange, roundish, at least 40NaN0 in diameter.
Dysoxylum flavescens is found in Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo. Its habitat is rain forest from sea-level to 1700m (5,600feet) altitude.
