Duripelta hunua is a species of Orsolobidae. The species is endemic to New Zealand.[1]
This species was described in 1985 by Ray Forster and Norman Platnick from male and female specimens collected in the Auckland region. The holotype is stored in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection under registration number NZAC03014994.[2]
The male is recorded at 1.63mm whereas the female is 1.84mm. The abdomen has a chevron pattern dorsally.
This species is only known from the Hunua Ranges in Auckland, New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Data Deficient" with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend" and "One Location".[3]
