Douglas baronets of Kelhead (1668) explained

The Douglas baronetcy of Kelhead, parish of Cummertrees, Dumfriesshire, was created on 26 February 1668 in the Baronetage of Nova Scotia for James Douglas, son of Sir William Douglas of Kelhead, governor of Carlisle Castle in 1647.[1]
