He tied the school record with 11 career interceptions.[3] As a senior, he was honored by the Newspaper Enterprise Association (NEA) as a second-team All-American.[4]

Professional career

On March 30, 1987, he was signed as a free agent by the San Francisco 49ers.[8] He was released on August 28.[9]
