Doceree is a pharmaceutical advertising and healthcare marketing company headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey.[1] [2] [3] It operates in 21 countries across the United States, India, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.[4] The company helps connect pharmaceutical and life sciences companies with healthcare professionals.
Before the establishment of Doceree, Harshit Jain,[5] an alumnus of Northwestern University, practiced as a physician in the United States. His career began in 2007 with Altruista Health, a startup that utilized data from insurance companies to assess clients' health risks and promote wellness. In 2015, Harshit sold Altruista Health to Capricorn Health Advisors, and in 2016, he divested another venture established in India in 2009 to A.D.A.M. Ebix. Later, he joined McCann Health as Vice President and Country Manager, where he assumed various roles including Innovation Lead across Asia, Europe, and America.[6] In 2019, Harshit left his position and founded Doceree. The name is derived from the Latin word docere, which means to teach, and is also the root word for doctor in English. Doceree started operations in 2020,[7] initially in India and the US. It later expanded into the UK, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Gulf Cooperation Council countries.[8] In 2020, the company raised a seed fund of $1 million.[9]
In 2021, the company expanded into enterprise-level network services with Doceree Engage and appointed Preetha Vasanji as Senior Vice President. In 2022, the company raised $11 million in a Series A funding round led by Eight Roads Ventures[10] and launched ESPYIAN, a platform for creating a verified database of medical and healthcare professionals.[11] [12] In 2023, Doceree launched a talk show called The Next Marketing with HJ on its YouTube channel, hosted by Harshit Jain MD. Guests on the show included Harjot Singh, Ritesh Patel, Nancy Phelan, George C.D Griffith, Jeffrey Erb, Karima Sharif-Ali, and Richard Springham.[13] In May 2023, Doceree formed a partnership with Hello Health Group, a health and wellness content company,[14] to foray into eight Southeast Asian countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Philippines and Taiwan.[15] In June 2023, Doceree announced the launch of Doceree Enterprise, an HCP-focused global demand-side platform. In September 2023, the company raised $35 million in its Series B funding round led by Creageis, with participation from Eight Roads Ventures and F-Prime Capital.[16]
