Diz Glithero Explained

Lisa (Diz) Glithero is a Canadian Professor who advocates for youth involvement in the natural world.[1]

Career

She is the winner of the "Alex Trebek Medal for Geographic Literacy," awarded by The Royal Canadian Geographical Society. This medal is awarded to individuals who contribute significantly to geographic literacy.[2]

Glithero is the national coordinator of the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition. Additionally, in 2018 she received both the Outstanding Educator of the Year award from the Canadian Network for Environmental Education & Communication and the Ocean Education Organization Award from Ocean Wise.[3]
