Dina Alaa Meshref (Egyptian: دينا علاء مشرف; born 10 March 1994 in Quebec City) is an Egyptian table tennis player who is currently world rank number 28 in ITTF, she is African number 1 table tennis player.[1] She represented Egypt in the 2012 Summer Olympics,[2] 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2020 Summer Olympics..[3]
She attended Futures American School and Roots School and had graduated from the American University in Cairo.
Meshref comes from a family of table tennis players. Both her parents were national champions. She won her first African Cup title in 2011 before claiming seven consecutive titles between 2014 and 2020.
She won her latest African title in September 2022, climbing 21 spots in the table tennis world ranking to reach the rank of 29.
Dina, was a gold medalist in women's singles at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and a gold medalist in women's teams at the 2022 Mediterranean Games.
She reached her highest ITTF ranking of #26 in 4/2023.
On 10 August 2022 she signed for the Greek club Panathinaikos, competing in the European Champions League.[4]
