Diamond Mine is a professional wrestling stable in WWE consisting of members Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, and Ivy Nile. They currently perform on the Raw brand and are members of the American Made stable.
The group was formed in June 2021, where it was originally led by Roderick Strong and also included Hachiman. The name and logo were derived from the original formation of Malcolm Bivens and Tyler Rust, where Bivens gave him the nickname Diamond in the Rust followed by pounding their fists. Strong was a former one-time NXT Cruiserweight Champion whereas the Creed Brothers were a former one-time NXT Tag Team Champions.
After the collapse of the Undisputed Era in early February, Roderick Strong made his return on June 22, 2021 episode of NXT attacking Kushida as the Diamond Mine stable alongside Tyler Rust (who was released on August 6 and was later replaced by the Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile)[1] [2] with Hachiman and Malcolm Bivens as their manager.[3] On the September 21 episode of NXT 2.0, Strong defeated Kushida to win the NXT Cruiserweight Championship.[4] At NXT WarGames, Strong defeated Joe Gacy to retain his championship. At NXT: New Year's Evil, he lost the title to NXT North American Champion Carmelo Hayes in a championship unification match.[5]
Strong and the rest of Diamond Mine would slowly turn face at the start of 2022, when they entered a feud with Imperium. On January 5, 2022, Hachiman was released from WWE, ending his role as coach of the group.[6] On February 15 at NXT Vengeance Day, the Creed Brothers defeated MSK to win the Men's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.[7] On the February 17 edition of NXT, Bivens introduced Tatum Paxley as a new member of Diamond Mine, and she would become Nile's frequent tag team partner. At Worlds Collide, Damon Kemp betrayed Diamond Mine by costing the Creed Brothers the NXT Tag Team Championship to Pretty Deadly in a fatal-four-way elimination tag team title unification match, involving the NXT UK Tag Team Champions Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, and Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang), after hitting Julius Creed with a steel chair. In November 2022, Strong's WWE contract expired, ending his time in the company and group. However, Strong's departure was not public knowledge until he debuted on the April 25, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite.[8]
On the March 14, 2023 episode of NXT, Paxley betrayed Nile, thus also effectively leaving Diamond Mine. On the July 4 episode of NXT, the Creed Brothers left the brand after losing a Loser Leaves NXT match to the Dyad.[9] However, on the August 29 edition of NXT, the Creed Brothers defeated the Dyad in a steel cage match to reinstate them to NXT.[10] The Creed Brothers and Ivy Nile made their main roster debut on the October 30 episode of Raw where the Creed Brothers defeated Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) in a tag team match.[11] At NXT Halloween Havoc Night 2 the following day, they defeated Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match in their last match for NXT.[12]
See main article: American Made. On the November 6 episode of Raw, the Creed Brothers and Nile officially signed for the Raw brand.[13] On the same night, the Creed Brothers defeated DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) after Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser took out Gargano. Meanwhile, Nile participated in a battle royal for a Women's World Championship match at Survivor Series. Nile eliminated Kayden Carter, Katana Chance and Natalya and survived as the final four participants but was eliminated by an already eliminated Nia Jax.[14] On the November 20 episode of Raw, Nile teamed up with Alpha Academy's Maxxine Dupri in a fatal-four way tag team match for a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match in a losing effort.[15] On the November 27 episode of Raw, The Creed Brothers won a tag team turmoil match for an Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity but failed to defeat The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) for the titles on the December 18 episode of Raw.[16] [17] On the December 11 episode of Raw, Nile accompanied Dupri in her non-title match against Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley. Ripley won by submission and did not release the hold until Nile entered the ring and both women stared each other down. Ripley then vowed to make an example out of Nile, agreeing to put the Women's World Championship on the line against Nile at Raw: Day 1 on January 1, 2024, where Nile, in her main roster debut match, failed to defeat Ripley for the title.[18] [19] [20] Nile made her Royal Rumble match debut at the titular event, entering as the eighth entrant. She was eliminated by Nia Jax.[21] [22]
In July 2024, the Creed Brothers aligned themselves with Chad Gable by assisting Gable to attack The Wyatt Sicks' Bo Dallas.[23] Nile was not involved in the segment, leaving the status of Diamond Mine in question until the August 12 episode of Raw when she attacked Dupri and joined American Made.[24]
