Nguyễn Đức Cường (born May 13, 1989), known professionally as Đen Vâu or simply Đen, is a Vietnamese rapper and musician.[1]
Nguyễn Đức Cường was born in 1989 in Đồng Nai province, Vietnam.[2] Conflicting sources suggest he might have actually been born in Hạ Long, Quảng Ninh province.[3] [4] His family is originally from Hung Yen.[5] Cường was raised in Quảng Ninh for most of his childhood.[6]
During his time in high school, Cường discovered his passion for writing rap songs and began performing them at school events. Due to his family's financial hardships, he was unable to pursue higher education after completing high school. Instead, Cường found employment as a waste collector to support himself and his family. After venturing into a professional career in rapping, he adopted the stage name Đen Vâu or simply Đen.
