Demetrio Jiménez Sánchez-Mariscal Explained

José Demetrio Jiménez Sánchez-Mariscal (8 October 1963 – 23 October 2019) was an Argentine Roman Catholic bishop.

Jiménez-Mariscal was born in Spain and was ordained to the priesthood in 1988. He served as bishop of the Roman Catholic Territorial Prelature of Cafayate, Argentina from 2014 until his death in 2019.[1]

He was born specifically in Los Cerralbos. He professed as Member of Order of St. Augustine in 6 September 1981 when he was 17 years of age. On 11 October 1986, he made solemn vows as a Member of Order of St. Augustine. He went on to become an Ordained Priest of Order of St. Augustine in 23 June, 1988 and later appointed as Prelate of Cafayate, Argentina. In the same year of his appointment as Prelate, he became an Ordained Bishop on 10th May as Prelate of Cafayate, Argentina. The event of being ordained as a Bishop took place at the Grounds of, La Serenata, Cafayate, Territorial Prelature of Cafayate. He later died at the age of 56 holding the same title as the Prelate of Cafayate, Argentina.[2]
