Dehdez (Persian: دهدز) is a city in the Central District of Dezpart County, Khuzestan province, Iran, serving capital of both the county and the district.[2]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 3,610 in 651 households, when it was in Dehdez District of Izeh County.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 4,920 residents in 994 households.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 5,490 people in 1,312 households.[5]
In July 2021, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Dezpart County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each. Dehdez was transferred to the new Central District as the capital of the county.[2]
Dehdez has a Mediterranean-influenced humid continental climate (Köppen: "Dsa"), with cold winters, hot summers, and mild springs and autumns.
