Dealu Mare wine region explained
The Dealu Mare wine region is located within the Muntenia area of Romania.[1] [2] It is located around the municipality of Valea Călugărească[3] in Prahova County, best known for its red wines,[4] and the municipality of Pietroasele[5] in Buzău County, best known for white wines.[6] Typically identified as one of the most important wine regions in Romania,[7] it encompasses about 400 square kilometres under the Southern Carpathians.
