Daysland is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is on Highway 13, approximately 43km (27miles) east of Camrose.

History

The community was named for its founder and first mayor, Edgerton W. Day,[3] who purchased 116483acres of land from the CPR in 1904 to form the basis of Daysland.[4]

Demographics

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Town of Daysland had a population of 789 living in 333 of its 356 total private dwellings, a change of from its 2016 population of 824. With a land area of, it had a population density of in 2021.[5]

In the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Town of Daysland recorded a population of 824 people living in 330 of its 356 total private dwellings, a change from its 2011 population of 807. With a land area of 1.75km2, it had a population density of in 2016.[6]
