Dasypogon Explained

Dasypogon is a genus of flowering plants in the family Dasypogonaceae. It includes three species, all endemic to Western Australia.[1]

Etymology

The name literally translates to “shaggy beard”, from Ancient Greek (dasús, “hairy, shaggy, rough”) + (pṓgōn, “beard”).
