Dariya Saheb Explained
Dariya Saheb (1674-1780[1] [2]), also Dariya Sahib, Dariya Das, Daryadas[3] and Bihar Wale was a Saint and Bhojpuri poet and the founder of Dariya or Dariyadasi sect.[4] [5] [6] He has written more than twenty Bhojpuri books out of which Gyan Dipak, and Dariya Sagar are most famous. Gyan Dipak is his brief autobiography.[7]
Life
He was from Dharkhanda Village of Dinara in Shahabad district (presently Rohtas) of Bihar.[8]

- According to Vikram Samvat he lived from 1691-1837, in Gregorian calendar it becomes 1633-1780. In his book Dariya Sagar his year of birth is written 1674 A.D.
