Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute (Or DMCI) is a Public High School located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Founded in the late 19th century. The School is named after Daniel McIntyre, Winnipeg's First School Superintendent.[1]
DMCI was founded and traced back in 1882 and built in 1923 by the Winnipeg School Division with the goal of having an excellence in academics and preparing graduates and potential students in pursuing further education such as college, university, medical school, etc.
DMCI also has an Excellence in Athletics which Students could have the Opportunity to join in these following:
DMCI has 7 Advanced Placement (AP) Courses designated for Students Motivated in Attending University to take University Level Courses that are Challenging and In-Depth while in High School
The Advanced Placement Program provides Students the Benefits of Earning University Credit, Saving Tuition Fees and Graduating Early in University:.
The Capstone Diploma Program is a Program provided by the College Board that helps Students develop Skills in Research, Analysis and Collaboration & Presentation. Students who Complete the Either 2 Year Courses will be given an Award which will give them a Edge in the College Application Process or Boost their chance in enrolling in an Selective Course.
The Medical Professionals Program (MPP) is a 3 Year Integrated Program that prepares and teaches Students (10-12) interested in the Medical Field the Essentials in Knowledge and Skills needed to Excel in their Chosen Medical Career Path.
Students Enrolled in the Medical Professionals Program Will Have the Opportunity to participate in an Off-Site Learning at the Medical Institutions in Winnipeg and having the Eligibility of an CPR Certification with getting an Internship or Mentorship.
