Damián Kachút (born 9 June 2004) is a Slovak footballer who currently plays for Niké Liga club DAC Dunajská Streda and its reserves in ŠTK Šamorín in 2. Liga as a forward.
Kachút joined DAC Dunajská Streda's MOL Football Academy in 2019, transferring from Petržalka of his native Bratislava. In July 2022, he signed his first professional contract with DAC until June 2025. Ahead of the 2022–23 season, he was a part of senior teams preparatory camp and featured in a friendly against Pohronie. It was announced, that during the season Kachút would primarily feature in partner club of ŠTK Šamorín.[1] In pre-season Europa Conference League qualifiers, Kachút was a bench substitute in fixtures against all qualifying rounds of DAC.
Kachút made his competitive first team debut on 6 September 2022 in a Second round Cup fixture against Filjo Ladomerská Vieska. Kachút began the match on the bench but was fielded during half-time break to replace Panamanian international César Blackman, as DAC led 0-1 following a goal by Mateus Brunetti. The match concluded with a 2–4 victory for DAC.[2] [3]
Kachút made his Fortuna Liga fixture in season's derniere on 20 May 2023 during a home fixture against Dukla Banská Bystrica. Ahead of over a crowd of over nine-thousand, Kachút replaced Alex Pinto after 86 minutes of play, with the final score of 1–0 already in the first half by Nikola Krstović.[4] [5] During the same season, Kachút collected 19 appearances for Šamorín.
In June 2023, Kachút was called up by Albert Rusnák for a preliminary training camp ahead of 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, appearing in one of the friendlies against Malta U21, but failing to make the World Cup squad.[6] [7]
