Cyclocarpa stellaris is a species of flowering plant in the legume family, Fabaceae. It is an annual or perennial herb or subshrub. It has a disjunct distribution, from Senegal to Tanzania and Mozambique in sub-Saharan Africa (Sudanian and Zambezian grasslands), in Indochina, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, and Java, and in western and northern Australia.[1] It is the only member of the genus Cyclocarpa.[2]

It belongs to the subfamily Faboideae, and was recently assigned to the informal monophyletic Dalbergia clade of the Dalbergieae.
