Cryptoconchus Explained

Cryptoconchus is a genus of chitons in the family Acanthochitonidae.

Species

• Cryptoconchus porosus - the butterfly chiton
• Cryptoconchus floridanus - the white-barred chiton

Extinct species

The genus is also represented in the fossil record, in Pliocene and Pleistocene rocks.
