Cottonwood is a census-designated place (CDP) in Apache County, Arizona, United States. The population was 226 at the 2010 census.[2]

Geography

Cottonwood is located about west of Chinle and east of Pinon.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.37km2, all land.[2]

Education

The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) operates the Cottonwood Day School in Cottonwood.[3]

Cottonwood is in the Chinle Unified School District,[4] which operates Chinle High School.
