Coconuts is a coastal locality in the Cassowary Coast Region, Queensland, Australia.[1] In the, Coconuts had a population of 216 people.

Geography

The locality is bounded to the south by the Johnstone River and to the south-east by the Coral Sea.

Coconut Point is a headland at the northern mouth of the river into the sea (-17.5077°N 146.0644°W) and presumably the origin of the locality name.[2]

The locality was officially named on 17 March 1984.
