Chukhlomsky District (Russian: Чу́хломский райо́н) is an administrative[2] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kostroma Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 3643km2.[4] Its administrative center is the town of Chukhloma. Population: 13,574 (2002 Census); The population of Chukhloma accounts for 52.5% of the district's total population.
