Christian Louis Ntsay (born 27 March 1961)[1] [2] [3] is a Malagasy politician who is serving as the prime minister of Madagascar since 2018. He was appointed by President Hery Rajaonarimampianina following Olivier Mahafaly Solonandrasana’s resignation due to widespread protests throughout the country.[4] [5] Ntsay is considered a technocrat and has worked for the United Nations.[6]
After President Andry Rajoelina resigned in September 2023 to run for president, the Council of Ministers led by Ntsay temporarily exercised presidential authority until handing over to the President of the Senate Richard Ravalomanana in October 2023.[7] [8]
