Christian Langlois Explained

Christian Langlois is a Canadian film and creative director based in Montreal, Quebec. He has directed several short films, video content, series, commercials, music videos and immersive multimedia installations. He studied at Université du Québec à Montréal in communications programs, photography, cinema, art video and new digital media.

Career

After completing graduate studies in new media and digital art, he began his career as a visual and electronic artist, primarily focusing on video art, video installations, short films, and happenings. He was invited to the Danae Art Foundation in France and was a guest of the French Cultural Minister and the Mayor of Blois, Jack Lang, where he presented a video installation titled Le sale à manger.

Early in his career, he worked as a motion designer, experimental video director, and creative director. He contributed to the creation of a visual department at MusiquePlus, a Québécois music television channel, dedicated to musical videos and pop culture programs. It received recognition from peers and the public, including awards such as the Prix Gémeaux and Promax.[1]

In the late 90s, Langlois transitioned to a career in advertising as a film director, working with major brands in fashion, telecom, teen culture, and extreme sports. He collaborated with various production companies globally, including Cinélande, Jet Films, La Fabrique d'images, Radke (Toronto), Partners (Toronto), The Garden (Toronto), Satellite My Love (Paris), and Les Enfants.[2] In 2013, he directed an interactive viral branded content piece for OB, titled "A Personal Apology," which achieved significant social media success, garnering over 47 million views and winning 22 international awards.[3]
