Christopher Bores is an American YouTuber, paranormal investigator, author and actor.[1] Based in Toledo, Ohio, he is best known for his documentaries, live events, and books documenting his experiences and instructions on how to communicate with paranormal activity.[2] He has created the documentary series Haunted Investigators and hosts the YouTube channel Ghost Doctor, as well as the retrogaming comedy web series The Irate Gamer Show (2007–present).[3] [4]
Bores' fascination for ghost hunting began in 2004, as the field gained mainstream recognition on United States television. In an interview with Toledo Blade, he said: Bores also described the considerable stagnation of such syndication into the 2010s–2020s, as few to no developments in research were documented with paranormal activity.
Bores began combining his filmmaking background into his investigations, with the release of his 2009 debut documentary series Haunted Investigators (2009–2010) on DVD.[5]
In 2012, he claims to have had a "90-minute interaction" with a spirit at St. Augustine Lighthouse in Florida. To his surprise, his methodology is reported to have succeeded and set the foundation for the system in which he uses when engage with spirits.[6] He said: Bores said since his St. Augustine interaction, he's engaged with spirits personally and learned more about their way of life. He said:
Bores says that his methods for spirit world communication have a set of strict requirements. After gaining a higher name recognition for his spirit communications, he was reportedly was approached by Oliver House to investigate his findings in the building. Representatives at Oliver House have not validated this, although Bores has been invited to publicly display his findings at the building since 2021. He published "longer-than-intended" video documentaries displaying his findings, claiming to have interacted with 6 spirits at Oliver House.[7]
Bores is also the creator, producer, and host of two YouTube-based web series: the retrogaming sketch comedy The Irate Gamer Show (2007–present) and the children-oriented Puppet Steve, which focuses on toy reviews. The channels have garnered an estimated 150,000 and 1 million subscribers as of, respectively.[8] The former ran for eight seasons and has enlisted guest appearances from James Rolfe, Ernie Hudson, Peter Weller, Jason David Frank, Rob Paulsen, Zach Galligan, and Michael Buckley, among others.[9]
