Chris Balch is a former politician from New Hampshire.

Career

On November 6, 2018, Balch was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives where he represents the Hillsborough 38 district. Balch assumed office on December 5, 2018. Balch is a Democrat.[1] Balch endorsed Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries.[2]

Personal life

Early Life and Education: Born in 1953, Balch grew up in Redding, CT. He attended the [3] and the,[4] and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Biology.

Balch resides in Wilton, New Hampshire.[5] Balch is married and has three children.[6]

In May 2022, Balch was charged with criminal mischief and timber trespass by the New Hampshire Division of Forests and Lands for spiking trees in state-owned forests in an effort to prevent logging.[7] On March 4, 2023, Balch was found Not Guilty of all charges.[8]
