Chowerup is a rural locality of the Shire of Boyup Brook in the South West region of Western Australia.^{[1] [2]}

The Shire of Boyup Brook is located on the traditional land of the Bibulman (also spelled Bibbulmun or Pibelmen)^{[3] [4]} and Kaniyang (also spelled Kaneang) people,^{[5] [6]} both of the Noongar nation, with the locality of Chowerup located on the land of the Kaniyang people.^{[7] [8]}

The heritage-listed Chowerup Hall, dating back to 1923, is located within the locality, having functioned as a local school until 1950.^[9]
