Rinki Kol of the Apna Dal(Sonelal) party emerged as the winner with a margin of over 9,587 votes against her closest rival, Keerti Kol of the Samajwadi Party.[3]
Apna Dal (Sonelal) candidate Rahul Prakash won in 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Elections defeating Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Dhaneswar by a margin of 63,468 votes.[4]
