Charmentray (in French pronounced as /ʃaʁmɑ̃tʁɛ/) is a commune in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It was the birthplace of painter Ambroise-Marguerite Bardin.[2]
The inhabitants are called Carmentraciens.
