Chanovsky District (Russian: Ча́новский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal[1] district (raion), one of the thirty in Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 5515km2.[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Chany. Population: 25,523 (2010 Census); The population of Chany accounts for 33.2% of the district's total population.
