Ceton (in French pronounced as /sətɔ̃/) is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France. It is the southernmost municipality in Normandy. The commune has the largest surface area of the communes based in the Orne, at 59.39 km ²^[2]

The Commune has three buildings and areas listed as a Monument historique.^[3]

• Beauvais Castle is a Percheron fortified house, which was registered as a monument in 1992.^[4]
• Saint-Pierre Church an eleventeenth century church, registered as a Monument historique in 1974.^[5]
• Manoir du Mont-Gâteau a manor house, registered as a Monument historique in 1992.^[6]

Notable People

• Fernand Loriot - (1870 – 1932) one of the founders of the French Communist Party, was born here.^[7]
