The Central Rural Work Leading Group is a coordination body set up under the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party for the purpose of managing rural affairs.
The central leading group was established in March 1993 by the Central Committee of the CCP.[1]
Previously, the General Office of the leading group was co-located in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. In mid-2023, the General Office was merged with the Office of the Central Financial and Economic Affairs Commission.[2]
The group is the CCP's leading body on rural and agricultural affairs.[3] [4]
