The Central District of Shirvan County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان شیروان) is in North Khorasan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shirvan.[2]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 126,928 in 31,926 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 134,455 people in 37,178 households.[4] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 123,745 inhabitants in 37,420 households,[5] by which time the village of Ziarat had been elevated to the status of a city.[6]
