The Central District of Bagh-e Malek County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان باغ ملک) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Bagh-e Malek.[2]
History
After the 2006 National Census, the village of Meydavud-e Sofla was elevated to the status of the city of Meydavud.[3]
In April 2023, Qaleh Tall Rural District and the city of Qaleh Tall were separated from the district in the establishment of Qaleh Tall District, which was divided into two rural districts, including the new Barangerd Rural District.[4]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 62,217 in 12,044 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 66,700 people in 14,967 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 67,827 inhabitants in 16,781 households.[7]
