Ceadîr-Lunga (in Romanian; Moldavian; Moldovan pronounced as /t͡ʃaˈdɨr ˈluŋɡa/, also spelled Ceadâr-Lunga; Gagauz: Çadır-Lunga) is a city and municipality[2] in Gagauzia, Moldova.

Demographics

According to the 2014 census, the population of Ceadîr-Lunga amounted to 16,605 inhabitants, a decrease compared to the previous census in 2004, when 19,401 inhabitants were registered. Of these, 7,826 were men and 8,779 were women.[3]

The city is represented by FC Saxan Gagauz Yeri in Moldovan Liga 2, the third tier of Moldovan football. The club play their matches in Ceadîr-Lunga Stadium.[7]
