Ccapi District is one of nine districts of the Paruro Province in Peru.[1]

Ethnic groups

The people in the district are mainly indigenous citizens of Quechua descent. Quechua is the language which the majority of the population (96.39%) learnt to speak in childhood, 3.25% of the residents started speaking using the Spanish language (2007 Peru Census).[2]

Geography

One of the highest peaks of the district is Tawqa Urqu at 4624m (15,171feet). Other mountains are listed below:[3]
