Carmen Bourassa (1942 – 25 December 2021) was a Canadian television producer.[1]
Bourassa was born the oldest of seven children in Trois-Rivières in 1942, attended the École normale du Christ-Roi. She began working for the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Quebec, where she led the movement to introduced educational television programs for children in schools.[2] This effort led to the creation of the program Passe-Partout, for which she contributed to the production of 125 episodes alongside Louise Poliquin and .[2]
He continued producing Passe-Partout into the 1990s, as well as the series .[3] In 2009, she explained to Le Nouvelliste that the series which she produced focused on childhood education.[2] Her later series included on Télé-Québec from 1992 to 1995, on Télé-Quebec from 1993 to 1996, and Toc toc toc on Radio-Canada since 2007.[2] She also produced multiple series for Telefiction.[3]
Bourassa died on 25 December 2021, at the age of 79.[4]
