Captain Starlight (book) explained
Captain Starlight, also known as Starlight, is a 1945 Australian book by Frank Clune about the inspirations for Captain Starlight in the novel Robbery Under Arms.[1] [2] It was published by Hawthorne Press.[3] According to Catholic Weekly "the author seeks to discover who was Captain Starlight of Rolf Boldrewood's famous Robbery Under Arms."[4]
It was released around the time as two other short Clune works, Forlorn Hope and The Greatest Liar on Earth.[5]
The Age said "Clune carries out a pretty piece of literary detective work... Clune has followed the clues relentlessly, and he makes the mostof one of the strangest pieces of real life adventure which one could hopeto find."[6]
