Cantuaria depressa is a species of trapdoor spider endemic to New Zealand. [1]
This species was described in 1968 by Ray Forster from a single female specimen collected in South Otago. The holotype is stored at Otago Museum.
The female is recorded at 19mm in length. The carapace and legs are red brown to orange. The abdomen is pale brown with bands on the dorsal surface.
This species is only known from South Otago in New Zealand.
Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as Data Deficient with the qualifiers of "Data Poor: Size", "Data Poor: Trend", "One Location".[2]
